It’s our very busy season of summer events so please excuse the delay! Here’s tip #3 of my 5 for choosing the best wedding destination location. This tip, Venue Details, is where I have some of the most fun. It’s wonderful to scout a site and imagine the possibilities! In terms of Venue Details, knowing the guest capacity of a venue (size) is the most important. It’s also a helpful decision-making tool for my brides and grooms because it can immediately add a location to “the list” or eliminate it. First things first, how many guests will you invite to your wedding? A wedding for 80 guests holds many more destination wedding location possibilities than a wedding for 200. And of course, the most important question to ask of a venue is “How many guests can you accommodate?” Accommodation is two-fold — you need to know what the sleeping capacity is as well as the venue capacity for the actual celebration. We often ask if we can do a “venue buy-out” which means we reserve all of the rooms on the entire property. Venue buy-outs are great because they offer much more flexibility with privacy, exclusivity, noise restrictions, event curfews, and set up times, etc. One of my favorite venues is Amanusa. Amanusa sits on a garden hillside in southern Bali. It is perfect for my clients who want seclusion, space and serenity.  Here are some iconic images.  You can see more of our Bali images here.
