I’m always on the lookout for the best destination wedding venues.  I love to work in new locations. Everywhere I go, people ask me for my advice on selecting the best spaces.  I wanted to share my top 5 tips with you in “bloglet” installments.  So here’s tip #1…

1.  Personality

Everyone has a wedding personality.  What’s yours?   Are you a beach-island girl?  Is your heart happiest in an historic hacienda?  Would you swoon over an old-world villa or an industrial-modern locale?  The goal is to find a location that’s a perfect personality fit, so that you don’t have to spend alot of money making a modern hotel look like it has old-world charm, or making an American location look like Versailles. You get the picture!  Select a venue that is true to who you are at your core. My clients are always happiest when they’re in their element.

Here’s an example for you beach brides….These are images from Annie & Kyle’s wedding at the beautiful One&Only Palmilla resort in Los Cabos, Mexico.

If  your style is more cowboy boots than flip-flops, check out our Field of Dreams in Telluride, CO.  If you’re more of an all-American personality than a jet-setter, take a look at our Americana in Santa Barbara wedding.   Each of the weddings in our Gallery reflect the personality and style of the respective brides and grooms.  So remember, when saying “I do” find a wedding venue with a personality and style that speaks to you — one that says “I do, too!”

Stay tuned for tip#2 next week!
